![]() Step 2: Stop playing until Monday or Tuesday. There are literally dozens of baby timmies struggling with this exact issue this weekend. Step 1: Sort by new on this sub-reddit and see what other players are saying. The road is long and tiring, but oh so very rewarding. Sometimes you'll start a raid with almost nothing and leave kitted to the 9's and other times you'll go in confidently kitted to the 9's yourself and get stomped by some Chad with nothing but an RGD impact nade. C) buried caches(these are imo your best bet for safe looting with minimal conflict)ĭying is about as much apart of the game as shooting is. ![]() I recommend using the filter on mapgenie to show A) spawn locations B)loot you are after if specific. Regular extracts are typically across the map from the spawns hence the direction they'll travel. When players spawn there's typically a general direction people head at raid start AKA likely places to run into players who will dome you. One tip here - map knowledge and pmc/scav spawn locations are huge. You are already using map genie which is great. You should be able to find videos via "woods food run tarkov" "Graphics card loot run interchange" etc. Watch some loot run videos for decent strats. Just run raid after raid after raid completing tasks and leveling up to access better gear. Unless your heavy loaded or out of stamina they shouldn't br able to catch up.(barring potentially little to no cover)Ībove all else - you gotta play hideout/inventory is lava. Or simply sprint in the direction you think is away from fire. When you get randomly capped at from God knows where: reposition, fast. They give you a pretty decent window to shoot them at the time of spotting you, but missing your first shot and repeeking should feel like a bad move. Try to always keep half stamina for when a pmc or scav ultimately sight you first. If you aren't aiming/scanning or taking cover make sure you're sprinting. Woods is an excellent map with some easy scav kills. Shooting in the kegs cripples and legs are not armored. A headshot in the face is 95% a kill with almost any gun, take your time and line it up. Replacing obviously more valuable items as you need. ![]() Small items that sell for 5k and up is decent cash once you start crushing fast raids. But ultimately just get comfortable with something. Pick an entry kit gun like sks( from Jaeger I believe so you might need to unlock him via task) with ps ammo(best starter ammo imo). My biggest tip to getting good is worry less about gear.
